Mr. K. M. Agrawal

A humble, warm-hearted Shri Krishen Murari Agrawal who is one of the trustees and also the chairman of the Pranic Healing Foundation of Delhi.

He studied in the Colonel Brown’s Cambridge School in Dehradun. His father was an engineer in the Central Government. The indifferent treatment at school, the rampant discrimination and the feeling of being singled out sowed the seeds of rebellion in young Agrawal. Later he joined the medical group in Lucknow Christian College, similar behavior crystallized his feelings against the British and he joined the movement fighting for the rights of his fellow Indians.

He was expelled from the university for taking part in satyagraha movement.

Mr. Agrawal moved to Allahabad and joined active students politic in 1942. Inspired by Gandhiji he organised several dharnas and processions against the British. His younger brother, J M Agrawal, a young lad of 16 also joined him in the freedom struggle in Delhi. Mr. Agrawal was arrested in 1944 under Defence of India Act in Delhi and later sent to Ferozepur jail. After his release from the jail in 1944, he joined Congress and soon became the vice-president of New Delhi Congress committee.

His wife, Smt Vimla Agrawal, a social worker, actively involved herself in the freedom struggle. During his tenure with the Congress he worked in close association with eminent leaders such as Jawaharlal Nehru, Maulana Azad, Rafe Ahmad Kidwai and Sardar Patel.

After independence, Mr. Agrawal left politics and worked for CSIR and Department of Science and Technology. He retired from the Steel Authority of India as the General Manager and started Homeopathic Dispensary at Sri Aurobindo Ashram. Swami Rama of Himalayan International Institute of Yoga Science and Philosophy, USA gave him the alphabets of Yoga Nidra, a technique of deep relaxation in which one learns to unwind consciously, for absolute relaxation.

The complete technique of Yoga Nidra from Swami Satyanand Saraswati of Bihar School of Yoga & later started propagating Yoga Nidra at the Sri Aurobindo Center of which he also is the secretary. His association with Pranic Healing started some time in 1993-94 when he did his Basic Pranic Healing course. Ms Cynthia and Mr. Rommel conducted the course; both had come from Philippines.

In those days there were not many local people who could offer training in Pranic Healing, therefore teachers used to come from Manila. He says, “Mr. Krishnan Veerappan came to me with an idea of having the Delhi chapter of Pranic Healing registered as foundation. We two signed all the documents and Krishnan got the Pranic Healing Foundation registered. Krishnan was the executive director and I was the chairman and later other trustees were inducted”.

Mr. Agrawal along with a group of seven, which included Mr. Krishnan Veerappan, Mr. Kunhikrishnan, Mr. Sushil Gupta, Ms Veenu Nagar, Ms Thankam and Mr. Vishwanathan, went to Manila to take Arhatic and other courses from Master and some of his colleagues.

“It would be interesting to note that initially for the first time the healing by Ms Cynthia and Mr. Rommel (who came from Philippines) and other Pranic healers started at my Homeopathic Dispensary at Sri Aurobindo Ashram,” he says and then adds, “at that time the healing was done free”. Due to heavy rush, the venue had to be shifted to its present location in Sri Aurobindo Center. Since then it is growing by leaps and bounds and has acquired its present stature.

Mr. Agrawal expresses his good wishes, sweet remembrance for the old team of Pranic Healers and good wishes to the future of the Pranic Healing Foundation of Delhi.

Very simple, soft spoken and generous at heart, he is the Managing Director and Chief Executive of the Asian Hotels Ltd and Director of many Tourism, Financial and Social organizations.

He hails from a family of freedom fighters. Before partition his grandfather had business of hardware import in Karachi (now in Pakistan) and Amritsar. He studied in Ram Ashram School in Amritsar and stood first in matric examination in 1959. He completed his FSC from DAV College Amritsar, Punjab. In 1947 after partition the center for business changed from Amritsar to Delhi, so his father shifted their family to Delhi and started their business of exporting Musk and Gal stone.

He was the personality who started the Polio Immunization program in India as Deputy Chairman of Polio Plus Task Force wef from 1987 to 1991.

When I asked him how he became a Pranic Healer, he smiled and said, "right here! I did my Basic Pranic Healing Course in Hyatt Hotel in 1995". He visited Manila for the first International Pranic Healing Convention and met Master Choa Kok Sui. Pranic Healing Foundation of Delhi was registered in March 1995 and he joined Pranic Healing Foundation of Delhi as a trustee. He took over the Chairmanship of Pranic Healing Foundation of Delhi from Dr. K. M. Agrawal a year back.

He says, "Pranic healing is a way of life, ever since we learnt Pranic Healing we have been practicing it almost every day for healing ourselves and others". I asked him, "As a chairman of Pranic Healing Foundation of Delhi what all activities you are carrying out to spread Pranic Healing?" He said, "So far we were trying to spread a word about Pranic Healing especially in all the corners of Delhi."

"We have found important people have shown interest. Now our objective is to have a permanent site for the Pranic Healing Foundation of Delhi in central location where Healing, Training of new healers and other activities can be performed in a much systematic manner." I asked him, "would you like to convey something to other Pranic Healers?" He says, "I want everyone who has learnt Pranic Healing should heal others so that the objective of spreading Pranic Healing is achieved".

Inspite of his busy schedule, Mr. Sushil Gupta does regular healings in his office twice a week on Tuesday and Friday. He is indeed a multidimensional personality...

Krishnan Veerapan

Commands respect, exudes love & affection

We are introducing Mr. Krishnan Veerapan who is the founder Trustee of Pranic Healing Foundation of Delhi and founder of Prana Vision. My first rendez-vous with Mr. Krishnan was in 1995 when I was introduced to him by a friend of mine at Sri Aurobindo Centre. A humble, softspoken, sober person who commands respect and exudes affection.

Krishnan started his initial schooling from Baldwyn Boys High School, Bangalore. He moved to Don Bosco, Chennai and finally completed his Higher Secondary from Madrasi School (now DTEA School), Lodhi Road, New Delhi in 1969. He did his graduation in commerce from Hans-raj College of Delhi University. Being an outstanding sportsman, he represented Delhi & North Zone University in Cricket.

After completing his post graduation in Business Management & International Trade with specialisation in import-export policy & country trade, he joined AIR as an announcer for a short stint.

His wife Manjula Krishnan is a senior officer with Govt. of India and has two school going daughters Arti and Anjali. Extremely modest, plain-speaking and straight forward, he is an astute man who started his carrier in MRF as a sales representative and has climbed heights of achievement by reaching the top through his dedication, perseverance and continued association with MRF. Now he represents the MRF Group in Delhi as their Corporate Resident Manager.

He has strong conviction in the basic value of truth.

When I asked him, how he came to be associated with the world of consciousness, he said, "Since I was two years old I had from asthma. It uses to get severe very frequently. I use to be hospitalized and was given constant medication to keep away asthma. As a result of constant medication my body would not respond to normal medicine dose, I was given steroids of heavy doses."

"In 1971 the doctor told me that conventional medicines are not going to help me as I have become resistant to them and I should look for something else. It was then that I started yoga regularly. It helped me to get cured by a hefty 70%."

He did Basic Pranic Healing Course under Hector Ramos, a trustee of the World Pranic Healing Foundation. When I asked him, who introduced you to pranic healing, he said, "Ramani & Sushil Joseph, who is today the Vice President of All India Pranic Healing Foundations Trust, led me onto the treatment of a relative of theirs, the late Revered Paulos Mar Gregarious."

"I was taken aback, intrigued and fascinated by the effective methodology of this healing." He adds by stating further that as the Bishop showed improvement and got better he wanted to learn more about it. In 1994 he did Advanced Psychotherapy and Arhatic preparatory course at Chennai under Master Choa Kok Sui which was followed by teacher's training.

After coming back to Delhi in December '94 he started Pranic Healing in Dr. K.M. Agrawal's clinic at Sri Aurobindo Ashram. At that time there used to be a lot of rush at the clinic for healing. In one day he use to heal between 30 to 50 patients. Due to space constraint they shifted the healing centre to Sri Aurobindo Centre.

Pranic Healing Foundation of Delhi was registered in March '95. Krishnan and Dr. Agrawal decided to work with Sri Aurobindo Society Pondichery. He went ahead and wrote a personal note to some of his good friends inviting them to join his effort. Captain K.V. Kunhikrishnan, Mr. P.G. Krishnamachari, Dr. K.M. Agarwal and Mr. V.C. Viswanathan, Sushil Gupta now our trustees, were among those who responded to his letter and joined his efforts by joining the course organised at Delhi.

"From April 1995 Basic Course were taught at Sri Aurobindo Centre under aegis of Pranic Healing Foundation of Delhi. In June 1995 a seven-member team of Pranic Healers attended the Arhatic Retreat at Manila. The team also attended the special course conducted at the Institute of Inner Studies at Manila" he says and then adds, "besides me K.V. Kunhikrishnan and Vishwanathan were given permission by Master to teach Advance & Psychotherapy at Delhi".

Since the growth in Pranic Healing Foundation of Delhi was very fast, Master gave permission to start a research to the Pranic Healing Foundation of Delhi (affiliated to the Institute of Inner Studies) at Delhi. Following which Krishnan along with another pranic healer Seema started the project of Prana Vision.

I asked him how he got the idea of Prana Vision and what got it going? He said, "As a healer, understanding energies, understanding the connection of every man to the cosmic energy and the role of service, compassion and love in creating and transformation in the human dimensions, continues to draw out the best in me. A period of in-depth research in association with various organizations and clairvoyants, into the law of creation lead to a series of powerful experiences."

"Service to mankind to help him to make a smooth transition into a new age; to reinstate faith in hidden potential of mankind, has become a mainstay for my spirit. Thus Prana Vision was the outcome of my own experiments of interfacing energy technique and yoga with corporate management. Master was given a constant feedback". With Masters blessings Krishnan started the training programs for corporate houses focusing on corporate objectives.

Prana Vision offers a platform for men to take an inward journey, discover true nature and move into a life of health, freedom, well being, growth and self development. It is a platform to reinforce the significance of human values, relationships and inner harmony, to create and sustain the success in the material world.

He also conducts transformation programs and workshops for individuals and corporate houses on Stress Release and Self Development, Conscious Health and Self Development and Management by Objective Consciousness.
